HOW TO: Untethered Jailbreak Using GreenPois0n RC5 for iOS 4.2.1

Description of the software:

  greenpois0n will Jailbreak your iDevice.

Supported iDevices:

  - iPod Touch 2G (all bootroms)

  - iPod Touch 3G

  - iPod Touch 4G

  - iPad 1G

  - iPhone 3Gs (all bootroms)

  - iPhone 4

  - iPhone 4 Verizon (_not_tested_)

  - AppleTV 2

Requirements (check this !)

  - A supported device (see above)

  - The device should run iOS 4.2.1. Please check on the device in the Settings -> General -> About page.

    If your device is running an older version, please upgrade iOS first using iTunes.

    *** If you want to SIM Unlock, preserve your baseband using TinyUmbrella ¬®***

  - at least MacOSX 10.5

Notes (checks this also !)

  - If your device is jailbroken with iPhone Dev Team's Monte, please restore to fresh 4.2.1. first

  - If Cydia doesn't show up after Loader, you may need to reboot the device

  -This version of greenpois0n doesn't include a patched activation system. You'll need to activate your device using iTunes

  - WE DO NOT SUPPORT PIRACY !

Instructions

  1.     Plug the device to your computer using the USB cable

  2.     Quit iTunes if it shows up

  3.     Start greenpois0n.app

  4.     Follow instructions

  5.     The device will boot a 1st time with verbose text on screen. This operation will install the jailbreak on the device.

  6.     The device will reboot normally

  7.     Start the Loader application (green icon on the SpringBoard), and follow instructions to install Cydia

iOS 4.2.1 Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4 and ATV2

• iOS 4.3 is nearly out soon and tethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 is already out for quite sometime
• However, most of us (including myself) has been waiting since Christmas last year for the official release of Untethered Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 but until today we are all disappointed.
• I was hoping to really use Airplay with my iPhone and Apple TV 2 but without iOS 4.2, I am unable to enjoy that new feature.
• However, a recent news mentioned that a solution using Redsn0w 0.9.7 for untethered Jailbreak will be coming out soon.

Bought an Apple TV 2G and Compass iPad Stand

I was thinking of getting something special for a special day (Jan. 23, 2011). Finally, I bought and iPad bag and also Apple TV 2G and iPad Stand from twelvesouth  Compass.

How to Crack / Pirate Mac App Store

1. Install the latest Snow Leopard update (10.6.6) from system updates.
2. Log in the new App Store (from your dock) and download Twitter (free app)
3. Now go to Applications folder, locate Twitter, right click, Show Package Contents, navigate to Contents folder and copy _CodeSignature, _MASReceipt and CodeResources.\
4. Download Angry Birds ( http://bit.ly/gy9wzk ) and run the dmg file.
5. Now drag Angry Birds into the Applications folder. Right click, Show Package Contents, navigate to Contents folder and delete _CodeSignature, _MASReceipt and CodeResources. Now paste in the files you copied from the Twitter.app in step 3.
6. Complete, now your Mac App Store is cracked. You can enjoy Angry birds and other .app file from the new Mac App store which you can find online.
