• Here's what to expect from the new iPad Mini 2 
• A retina display. 
• 7.8-inch screen's resolution will double from 1024 × 768 on last year's model to 2048 x 1536
• 64-bit processor architecture. 
• A6X SoC currently used on the iPad 4. R
• Expect the new iPad mini to be available for pre-order on the Friday after the announcement, October 25th. 
• The official on-sale date should follow a week later on November 1st. 
• Expect the same pricing as the original iPad Mini: Wi-Fi models for $330 (16 GB), $430 (32 GB), and $530 (64 GB). 
• LTE models will likely cost $460, $560, and $660.

• The iPad 5 will retain its 9.7-inch retina display, 
• It'll have a narrower bezel, a lighter design, and an overall look resembling the iPad mini. 
• The overall width of the tablet will be 1.5 cm thinner
• An A7x processor 
• Expect a camera upgrade here as well. 
• As with the mini, pre-orders for the iPad 5 will likely begin October 25th with the tablet hitting stores on November 1st. 
• 16/32/64/128 GB Wi-Fi models should cost $500, $600, $700, and $800. 
• LTE models models should cost $640, $730, $830, and $930. 
• It's just as likely that Apple would want to keep Touch ID as an iPhone 5S exclusive.

News have been reported that on Oct. 22, we might be seeing the latest iPad 5, Retina iPad Mini, OS X Maverick, Macbook Pro (2013).

[News] - Nexus 4 Launching in Malaysia on Jan.7, 2013 (Pre-Order now)

A Lowyat.Net Forumer (@stringfellow) reported the first news regarding the Launching of Nexus 4 at Nexus Store (it was previously known as Nexus Store but now its called The Hotspot which is situated towards the Imbi entrance of Low Yat Plaza) on 7th or 8th January, 2013. Thus, it stops the speculation that it should be launching before Xmas.
The price for a 16GB is expected to be ~ RM 1599

This could be my second Android smartphone or the first in 2013. Thinking of purchasing it on Jan. 23, 2013 - a special date to remember.

Dec. 14, 2012 - Official launch of iPhone 5 in Malaysia

The latest source from maxis and celcom indicated a possible launch on Dec. 14 (Friday)
If this is the case, Pre-order will start 1 or 2 weeks earlier.. Most probably Nov 30 or latest by Dec. 7.

News from various countries about the the launch of iPhone 5 on Nov. 2, 2012 has been reported such as;

• Bulgaria
• Malta
• Thailand
• India
• Romania
• Mexico
• Greece
• Domincan republic

These are among the 100 countries Apple will launch next. Malaysia would likely being one of them.

Due to festive season of Eid-Adha, telcos from Malaysia might not want to open the pre-order between Oct. 26-28. Maybe Monday Oct. 29 would be a better date for pre-order in Malaysia.

Malaysia to Launch iPhone 5 on Oct 25., 2012

Many people predicted the launch date of iPhone 5. A more reliable source from the telco gave Oct. 25 as the date. This is more reasonable date because of the following:

• Rumours regarding Pre-Order date on Oct. 19 which is usually a week before the actual launch.
• Oct. 26 in Malaysia is a holiday (Hari Raya Haji) and thus, a day earlier would be a better day.
• Friday is usually the best day for product announcement from Apple.
• Apple Store Singapore online order still "unavailable" till today because Apple wanted to give a headstart for the Singapore telcos to offer "packaged/contract" iPhones. One month is sufficient for the headstart.
• If Apple offer to Malaysia before they open back for orders on Apple Store Singapore, it will hurt Singapore's market - if the price is lower (usually it is lower - example iPhone 4S).

Well... That's my rationale. I'm not sure about yours. Its the unknown date that excites many people. Let's wait and see in a couple of weeks.

Actually Malaysia launched in Dec. 14, 2012.

iPad 3 to be launch in March 2012

Digitimes reported that the new iPad 3 is expected to be launch in Q2 2012.

“Apple's new generation iPad will enter mass production soon with the launch set for March 2012, according to sources from the upstream supply chain; however, the sources revealed that internally Apple does not view the new iPad product as iPad 3, but rather an upgraded iPad 2 and the real iPad 3 will not be launched until the third quarter of 2012 at the earliest. The iPad 2 upgrade will be thinner than iPad 2, and will offer longer battery life. Due to the Lunar New Year holidays in China in January, Apple has decided to start small volume shipments in the fourth quarter of 2011, the sources noted. Some channel retailers also pointed out that iPad 2 is still the most popular tablet PC product in the IT market currently and Apple has no need to rush to launch a new model.”
