Its simply beautiful with quality leather. It matched with Solo Vintage Backpack. It fits my 15" Macbook Pto Retina very nicely. It has safety strap which helps to secure my MBPRD which I place inside the Opt Leather Sleeve.

Apple will launch OS X Mountain Lion on July 25

Apple will launch OS X Mountain Lion July 25 if it repeats what it did last year when it announced the then-new Lion a day after its quarterly earnings call with Wall Street analysts.


Monday, Apple scheduled its next earnings call for 2:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, July 24, when the company will reveal revenue numbers for the just-ended April-June quarter.


Last year at this time, Apple used a July 19, 2011 earnings call to announce the scheduled launch of OS X 10.7, aka Lion, for the next day.


"We are very excited to be launching Mac OS X Lion tomorrow," said Peter Oppenheimer, Apple's CFO, during the early stages of the earnings call last year.


Apple dutifully launched Lion early Wednesday, July 20, from the Mac App Store.


If Apple follows past practice, Oppenheimer will use the earnings call in three weeks to set the release date for Mountain Lion.


So far, the only official word from Apple is that Mountain Lion will debut some time this month. Customers running OS X Snow Leopard or Lion can upgrade to the new edition.


OS X 10.8 will be priced at $19.99, a 33% discount from last year's Lion, and half what rival Microsoft plans to charge for its upgrade to Windows 8 later this year. The upgrade will be available as a download from the Mac App Store.


Apple has not said whether it will repeat last year's offer of physical media for the upgrade -- in 2011 it sold a USB flash drive containing Lion for $69 -- but those who have slow dial-up connections or metered links to the Internet have other options, including using an Apple retail store's Wi-Fi connection, to download the 3GB+ Mountain Lion file.


People who purchase a new Mac on or after June 11 are eligible for a free upgrade to Mountain Lion. More details will be posted to this page on the company's website once Mountain Lion is released.

Are you ready to upgrade?
I have just purchased my new Macbook Pro Retina and is waiting anxiously to get this "free" upgrade.

[RUMOUR] - The iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 are to be released in September or October this year.

The two smartphones promise to be very interesting and we want to ask you which of the two devices would you buy.
Below is a summary of the rumors that have circulated so far on the launch, design, operating system and other specs.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2
The Galaxy Note 2 is expected to come with:

• a powerful quad-core Exynos processor/dual-core ARM-15 processor,
• a camera with a resolution of 8 MP with improved sensor/12 MP, 
• 2 GB RAM, 
• new Exynos 5250 chipset 
• and a battery with increased autonomy.

The handset is also rumored to feature a display that uses unbreakable plane technology (UBP), an incipient shape of a flexible screen that Samsung is developing.
The AMOLED screen could measure 5.3 or 5.5 inches, it will feature a resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels and it is also expected to be thinner.
It is speculated that Galaxy Note 2 will come with the new version of Android: 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The new smartphone is expected to be released in September or October this year, as we mentioned at the beginning.

iPhone 5
It is rumored that the iPhone 5 will have:

• 1 GB RAM, 
• a new ARM processor, 
• a new graphics chip, 
• a larger 4-inch screen, 
• a 1136 x 640 pixels resolution, 
• a 16:9 screen ratio,
•  quad-core processor, 
• 8 MP sensor with a larger aperture of f/2.2, front camera with HD resolution 
• and a case thickness of 7.9 mm.

A modified design (but not too much), a new battery and of course a new operating system are also among the new features expected to arrive with the device.
The launch of the next iPhone depends on the release of the iOS 6, and we expect that the next version of the operating system will arrive with the device this fall.
Also, the future iPhone will likely have 4G LTE connectivity and Apple could build the touchscreens for the device using a new “in cell” technology.
As for the launch of the sixth generation iPhone, it is rumored to be in the fall, in September or October, just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

[HOW-TO] - Re-Download Mac OS X Lion from the App Store

Need to redownload Mac OS X Lion from the Mac App Store? If you plan on making an install drive but you already upgraded to Lion, you’ll need to redownload the Installer so that you can extract the DMG file. This is the sure fire way to do it, in short, hold the Option key for everything:

• Open the Mac App Store
• Hold the Option key and click on “Purchases”
• Option-click on “OS X Lion” from the purchased app list
• “Installed’ should now say “Install” which allows you to re-download OS X Lion, otherwise you can Option-click again on the “Install” button to start re-downloading OS X Lion, shown in the screenshot above

Some users have trouble with that method, and instead they can try holding Option while launching the App Store in addition to when clicking on the greyed out installer next to OS X Lion, allowing you to download again. Option-clicking on OS X Lion from Purchases and then the “Install” button from the OS X Lion App Store page hasn’t failed us, but there do seem to be conflicting reports.

If you already bought Lion, you should not be charged twice for any additional downloads of Lion. If you’re already running OS X Lion and you do this, you’ll get a pop-up warning that says “A newer version of this app is already installed on this computer” but you can click again and download anyway.

This is the same trick you use to install Lion final over the GM build (they are the same build number unless you have a 2011 MacBook Air or Mini), and really the primary purpose of this is so that you can make a Lion install drive or use the recently available easy Lion Disk Maker tool. We probably should have posted this much earlier to clear up any potential confusion, but better late than never right?
