[HOW-TO] - Nexus 7 (2013) One Click Toolkit for Mac OS X (Lock, Unlock, Root, Unroot)



Toolkits for Mac OS are not easy to find. Most root/unroot/lock/unlock utilities are meant for PC users. I found this utility here to assist me in rooting my Nexus 7 (2013) LTE Model which I recently purchased.

 These toolkits will allow you to root, install TeamWin Recovery, unlock bootloader, and lock bootloader. All with a simple click of a button for your Nexus 7 2013 model!

  How Do I Use These Toolkit?

 1. Download the toolkit of your choice using the links below.
2. Unzip the file and click on click on the green Android icon.
3. Enter your phone into bootloader mode: First power off your tablet and make sure it's unplugged then,press the volume up, volume down, and power button all at the same time. When your phone vibrates let go of the power button, but keep holding onto the volume up and down button. You will now see a green start screen.

  4. Follow directions on the screen.

Bought from Hotspot at Low Yat Plaza for RM 1299 on Thurs at 6.30 pm.
And it works flawlessly with my Nexus 4 Wireless Qi Charger!

[HOW-TO] - Return Back to Nexus 7 LTE (2013) Factory Images [Link Available]

If you happen to be in possession of the Nexus 7 that sports LTE connectivity, we have some good news for you. You are now able to restore your tablet in a safe manner, returning it to the factory firmware through the use of freshly released official images from Google.

The images for the Nexus 7 with LTE connectivity have been given the codename “razorg”, and it has already been put up on the Google Developers site.

This would mean those Nexus 7 with LTE owners who did spend a fair amount of time tinkering with their devices and who knows, ruining it, now have a way to return their respective devices to stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, build JLS36C, without losing any sleep.

[HOW-TO] - Update Your iOS 7 the Easy Way by Using iOS 7 Download Links


The firmware update will be available to all users with a compatible iOS device. iPhone owners using an iPhone 4, 4s or 5 will be able to grab hold of the new firmware for their devices.

1. Use the iOS 7 download links shown below.
2. Download the right iOS 7 for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
3. Plug the device into the computer and perform a backup. Installing the iOS 7 will erase your iPhone so please do a backup for restore and sync later. 
4. Open iTunes (NOTE: Must install iTunes 11.1 - Download from here) and upgrade to the iOS 7 by choosing Restore.
  • Be sure to hold alt/option on Mac when you click Restore.
  • On Windows, hold Shift when you click Restore.
5. Find and click on the .ipsw file you downloaded.
6. Complete the iOS 7 installation and restore from backup.

Whereas countries in Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, UK, Japan, Korea and the US got their Nexus 7 LTE, the Malaysians will only get by Mid-Oct. 2013 (tentatively).

ASUS Malaysia has finally released the Nexus 7 for 2013 price in their September/October product catalog. The 7″ tablet with pure Android experience is priced at RM999 for the 16GB WiFi version and RM1,299 for the 32GB 3G/LTE/WiFi version.

[HOW-TO] - Install iOS 7 GM (Gold Master) without Developer UDID



1. Find an iOS 7 GM download link from a site like IMZDL or on social media.
2. Download the right iOS 7 GM for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
3. Plug the device into the computer and perform a backup. Installing the iOS 7 beta will erase your iPhone so plan to wait for a restore and sync. We didn’t lose any data, but if this sounds like a hassle, wait until the official iOS 7 release date.
4. Open iTunes (NOTE: Must install iTunes 11.1 - Download from here) and upgrade to the iOS 7 Beta by choosing Restore.
  • Be sure to hold alt/option on Mac when you click Restore.
  • On Windows, hold Shift when you click Restore.
5. Find and click on the .ipsw file you downloaded.
6. Complete the iOS 7 installation and restore from backup.
Users can install the iOS 7 GM on the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPad mini as well as the iPod touch 5th gen.
