Is it the death of Samsung? Will Samsung step back and review all their future designs? This patent war infringement creates such a buzz in the industry and makes many companies wary about their originality of their products.
Companies used to survive with the "copy-cats" mentality. Samsung is one of them. They have been like a leech and riding on Apple's success. Its about time for Samsung to be more innovative.
Among the Apple-patented features Samsung devices were found to have been infringing upon: the “bounce-back” that happens when you scroll to the end of a list, double-tap zoom, pinch-to-zoom as well as the design and iconography on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches.
The Samsung devices affected include the Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, Nexus S, Mesmerize, Vibrant, Fascinate, Skyrocket, Continuum, Prevail, Infuse, Gem, Mesmerize, Indulge, Replenish, Epic 4G Touch and Droid Charge smartphones and the Galaxy Tab and Tab 10.1 tablets, among others. It’s not yet known what the fate of the infringing products will be. (Source: Mashable)
